Our program provides safe, caring, and dependable rides for seniors, enabling them to maintain their independence, connect with loved ones, attend medical appointments, and stay engaged in the community.

• Flexible Scheduling: Volunteer on your own time, whether it’s a few hours a week or a couple of days a month.

RYDE Volunteer Sign-Up Guide:

Below are the steps for signing up as a RYDE volunteer, please reach out if you have any questions!

Steps to Register:

 

1. Download and fill out the RYDE Volunteer Application 
   ​

2. Sign up for a Volunteer Orientation Day

   • Steps #3 - #6 can be completed on or before your Volunteer Orientation Day. 
      

3. Bring your vehicle to the RYDE office for a walk-around inspection

   • RYDE office address: 19655 Allendale ave, Saratoga, Ca, 95070
      

4. Submit a copy of your valid California Driver's License
    

5. Complete DOJ Background Check

   • When you arrive at the RYDE office let us know you are completing the background check as well and we can provide you with a pre-filled LiveScan form.
      

6. Complete RYDE Driver Training Modules

   • This step will take approximately 6 hours. We will host a quarterly volunteer orientation day in which you can participate, with snacks and refreshments included.
